I give up!

I am still couponing, of course, but I have decided to give up blogging about it because it seems to be taking up too much of my time. However, I'm not just going to leave you high and dry...I'm referring you to my favorite "coupon-er" websites. It's called SavvyShopperDeals.com and it's primarily for those of us living in Utah. Another site I've heard is good (and is a nationwide shopper site) is called PinchingYourPennies.com. Keep clipping and keep saving! I know you can do it!

No coupons, but still deals!

It's kind of a bummer when you find ZERO coupons in the Sunday paper because of a holiday. BUT, there are still some deals that I thought you'd be interested in. Click on these links for 40% off or MORE! (Make sure you look at the rating next to the item...a WOW! means it is the BEST deal!)

Walgreen's best deals
RiteAid best deals
Macey's best deals (10% off all frozen food items you can fit into provided paper bags!)
KMart best deals
There weren't any ads in the paper for ShopKo or Target, but you can CLICK HERE to view Target's ad online.

Cereal Schmereal

If you haven't gone to Albertson's yet this week, GET THERE and get there FAST! They are having an amazing sale on Kellogg's cereal! If you buy 7 boxes of cereal, a catalina coupon prints out at checkout for $10 OFF YOUR NEXT ORDER! I know what you're thinking...that may not be the best deal because the original price of the cereal is probably high to start with. Nope, wrong! Many cereal varieties are 3/$5, which means $1.67 each, which means after your $10 coupon, you have a FABULOUS deal!

Last night I went to check out the sale, but was a little disappointed to find that none of the "normal" Frosted Mini-Wheats were actually 3/$5. The ones that were on sale were the Cinnamon or Strawberry ones. Well, since cinnamon didn't tempt me, I decided to try the strawberry.THEY ARE AWESOME! I had a bowl last night and I've aleady had two bowl-fuls today...yum! So today I went back and used the $10 coupon that had printed out to buy 7 MORE boxes. That means I paid exactly $2.03 for 7 additional boxes. PLUS, to my surprise and delight, ANOTHER $10 COUPON PRINTED OUT! So I bought 7 MORE! It just keeps going and going! My pantry is getting stocked up and I'm happy because I love this cereal!

Just call me...

Slacker. It's not a word I'm really used to hearing about myself, but this week, I've been happy to be a slacker. I'm trying to prioritize my life a little bit better than I have in the past, so I'm happy and sad to say that I will NOT be posting the weekly deals at every store any longer. (It's just taking me TOO long each week and there are better things to do with my time...like be FUN MOM!) Instead, I will be posting a link each week to a coupon-shopping site that I love and use often. It's called Savvy Shopper Deals and I think it's a very user-friendly website. There you can find a coupon index, a "shopping wizard", a printable organizer, and MORE! Check it out and let me know what you think. If you have any questions, please ask!

I feel a little like I'm abandoning you! But I do hope to keep posting pictures and success stories from my shopping trips to (hopefully) inspire you to keep up the coupon-shopping. Does anybody out there want to post your successes, too? Please let me know and I can add you as a contributor to this blog (once I figure out how to do that!).

Anyway, this is not good-bye, but it is SO LONG to those long, boring, yet informative weekly posts!

Whatever week we're on...

I feel like I'm barely hanging on with couponing this last week. There have been some disappointments and my time has been limited, so I didn't get the great deals that I like to get. Anyway, there are some good deals this week.

edit***I posted RiteAid's deals, but for some reason, they got deleted. And I'm tired and don't want to do any more. So, quick wrap-up of RiteAid is: Schick razor (same as Macey's), Garnier hair color (same as Walgreen's), Lysol kitchen cleaner cheap with rebate. KMart has Starburst jelly beans on sale (use your coupon), and ShopKo has Brach's jelly beans on sale (use your coupon). Wow, that was much faster and almost painless! Good luck to everyone!

My New Fave

If you're like me, your hands get VERY dry in the winter. Mine get so bad that they often bleed. I looked down at them yesterday and realized they looked like the hands of a 60-year-old. Depressing! I've tried moisturizing them with regular lotions and sometimes even slather them with baby oil gel before bed, but they always tend to get dry again...and fast. Well, last night I found a new favorite...Olay Quench body lotion. Has anyone out there tried it? It's awesome! I put some on my hands last night before bed and my hands were STILL soft this morning when I woke up!! On the bottle it says "This quickly absorbing, non-greasy formula can actually prevent dryness...Quench provides an immediate burst of moisture that continues for 24 hours...Then, drawn deep into the skin's surface, it repairs and nourishes the moisture barrier, strengthening skin's resilience against everyday drying conditions." It's true! But what's the best part? Right now you can get it for super cheap! Smith's has this 8.4 oz bottle of pure enjoyment for just $2.49, but with your Olay Facial Moisturizers or Facial Cleansers $3.00/2 coupon (2/10/08), you can get it for just $0.99 each. I totally stocked up on this one and I'm so glad I did...I LOVE IT!
